I'm usually a pantser, AKA, I start the story rolling and follow behind it, jotting down notes. BUT. I do like to have some idea about where it's going when I begin. So I have been outlining Weeaboo Vol 2, and scheming.

Contrary to how I originally planned it, I won't be publishing Weeaboo this month. Just seems dumb to clash with Slumrat Vol. 3's release, and Slumrat is coming out in... what, a couple of weeks? A week and a bit? Yeah, not a good plan. So Vol. 2 will drop before Vol. 1 ships. Such is life. Currently still on course for an end of August/Early September launch on Weeaboo Vol 2 on Patreon. Just depends on how much of a backlog I feel comfortable operating with. The main writing on it will be starting today.

Should be much, much better than what I drafted before. I don't often look back on things I wrote and go "Well that's just ass" but looking back over it... man, that's just ass. Not good enough. Some elements are worth keeping, most particularly the Gnome Hate, but most of it? In the bin. Now... on to something a little more spicy- something that isn't ass, but is wrong

What do you do when you realize that you have foolishly jammed two books together into one concept? Why, you separate them, and re-write. In this case, I am talking about Salinas (a name that I am 100% going to change, but to what, I don't know). See, Salinas as it was written was leaning into some biopunk/zombie city thing, with base building elements. It was actually intended to be a fairly positive, upbeat book. Climbing out of the darkness, etc. BUT! There were two problems.

1) It wasn't going to be a very good zombie city book.

2) It was tonally wrong for the postive basebuilding book I wanted to write.

So I shelved what I had written, and re-wrote it. I got rid of the zombie city elements, and firmly shifted from biopunk to Solar Punk. Which, if you are unfamiliar, is more or less the exact opposite of Cyberpunk. It's not going to be a long running series. I'm thinking it's going to clock in at novella length. And it's going to be available to all members. Yep. All members.

No need to sign up for a particular tier. It's going to be posting irregularly, as I focus on Weeaboo Vol. 2. I'm not taking down the old version of Salinas either. You can have fun comparing what's up and seeing what ideas got dropped and what got kept. First chapter will be up tomorrow, second chapter... next monday? Friday? Like I said, It will be irregular. I have three chapters down, so don't expect some huge launch blast. Still, I hope you enjoy it. Tonally, very different than anything I have written before.

I really want to see Warby solarpunk now. And I hope the very start is kept, with the dude in solitary going slowly insane, until he sees the door to another world.

I warn you, it was specially engineered to be brain poison. It evolved, I grant you, but the first few chapters are strong stuff.
