What Exactly I Have Been Up To, and What I have Been Teasing For A While (Patreon)

TL:DR- I wrote a new book. Not "am writing." It's written. Which means a very long overdue cleanup of the tiers. Weeaboo will lose it's specific tier in the future and will be available at a discounted rate.

So! Per the poll, other than Isekai'ed into a werewolf romance (which based on current research is essentially pornography with extra steps) the winner was classic xianxia cultivation novel. So I wrote one.

Yep. Whole thing. Well, all of Volume 1. Fifty chapters at 2k+ a pop. It started with a profound desire to make sure I had sufficient backlog (this current Weeaboo run has left me a mite traumatized on that front) and by the time I had a comfortable amount, I figured, fuck it, let's just finish the bastard.

So what is it about? Well, what if you were the child of destiny, born to inherit a life of comfort, even issued a Ghost Grandpa... but God, personally and directly, said "Nah, fuck that and fuck that kid in particular?" And even managed to screw over your Ghost Grandpa in the process?

Well, you would have Sky Pride.

 Yes, it's a shitty AI cover, my attempt to book my preferred cover designer fell through and for reasons, him having messed up hands is actually thematically appropriate. He does not, however, have blue eyes. Such is life when you don't know how to use photoshop.

It does have a lot of my usual signatures. I researched actual-fucking-daoism for one thing. The magic system is based on traditional Chinese medicine, the five element system, yin and yang, daoist internal and external alchemy, all that good stuff.

I really think you will like it. So I'm going to let my Patrons read it first.

Here's the deal- I'm going to kick it out to all paying members starting this weekend. Same format as it's going to be when it hits Royal Road- Five chapters on Saturday, same again on Sunday, then a chapter a day M-F.

But... after that, I'm going to put even more chapters available in advance behind a higher pay tier. It's going to run like I did it with Slumrat- five bucks and you can read X chapters ahead of RR, ten and it's Y chapters. I'm going to rename and uncap the $10 tier in preparation for this, which does lead me to the tier tidy up.

Basically, if you are subscribed to Hygenic Otaku, thank you very much. Your monthly subscription is about to get cheaper. Weeaboo will be taking a wee break after I finish this volume. So while I hope you will stick around, I'm going to close out the tier. Future Weeaboo Chapters will be priced at the Paid Member rate- $5, instead of $7.50.

In the short term, it's going to be a real knock on my Patreon income. Long term, I'm hopeful that Sky Pride will more than make up the difference. I will post another reminder after the volume finishes, just so the cancelation doesn't catch anyone off-guard.
