Vol. 3 of Sky Pride Begins Monday, June 23! (Patreon)

Whew! Quite the wild ride. Thank you all so much for reading and supporting Sky Pride. It is your support that lets me turn my passion into a career. I will get out that side chapter next week, and use the rest of the time to recharge and load up on new ideas for Vol. 3.

Now, long time readers of mine will know I like working with a major stockpile, as it gives me time to revise and improve things before it reaches you. So you will be... less than surprised to know that I'm currently writing chapter 23 of Vol. 3. I mention that because the reason I'm taking a break now is the other day I was rereading some of those Vol. 3 chapters and going "Wait, no, who is this golden retrever MF'er?" or "So is anything going to happen this chapter? Do we learn something that moves the plot along, develops a charicter, something? No? It's just ass? Needs to die the death of ten thousand deaths?"

All very normal parts of the writing process and completely to be expected. But it's also a firm sign to go read a book, play some videogames, walk in the woods, and stop trying to force something good into existence.

Vol. 3 will see Tian getting out into the broader world, seeing more of what life has to offer. Ancient Crane Monastery realizes that it has been disasterously wrong and is racing to find new solutions to ancient problems. Meanwhile, a very beat up Tian is trying to heal and answer a simple question- "Every good thing in my life is here. People have invested a lot in me. They have huge hopes for me. But is that enough to actually make me stick around? Because this is awful and I am about done with it!"
