The anime kinda blew past this point but Gaoshun was the one who beat Basen for letting Jinshi get hurt. And he really beat him for it, since it was a pretty monumental failure on his part. The point of this is me demanding justice for Basen who didn't deserve that just cause Jinshi felt like being nice to Loulan
