I’M SO EXCITED YOU GET TO REACT TO THE LIVESTREAM! And thank you for the insight on why the livestream doesn’t stay up, I was bummed cuz I joined late and only made it up to the start of Mutiny before the livestream went private, but it makes SO much sense to do it to fully support the artists and everyone involved so THEY get the views and monetization when they upload things on their own channels. I hadn’t thought about that at all 😭 Jorge is such a king for that

I'm SO happy you get to react to the livestream version of the songs, cuz they have extra insight into the background action of the songs that the audio alone doesn't quite convey. Both from animation snippets, and some of the writing that gives narrative context of the scenes in the songs. I'm so happy.

The animatics are considered canon. Eurylocus having a sword that big is something Jorge envisioned as a callback to Final Fantasy. I believe he said so in a video at one point. 😀

Song 21 and 22 were actually the songs no one knew the names of before the saga release. Jorge kept them really hidden and released no snippets for them. So everyone went in blind.

The livestream animatics are considered canon because Jorge commissions them. Eurylochus has a huge sword because it’s a reference to an old Mutiny snippet, where Jorge and Armando are fighting, and Armando has a huge wooden plank.

See, the reason suffering confused me, is Jorge told us songs 21 and 22 weren't derived from the source material, which the sirens are. Man just straight up gaslit us lol

Haha, you got that immediately. And yeah, Jorge definitely commissioned the giant sword 😂 As for why he assumed she would speak truthfully, I think he probably thought she was so focused on being Penelope/tricking him that she wouldn't think about being deceptive - she was planning on the men dying anyway, so why express the effort?

I love how song 2 is the words -> actions response of the end of act 1 song. He *says* he's a monster in song 20, but in DB, he proves it. A good pair of songs for a return from intermission to reestablish the nature and stakes. Love it so much

Music nerd rant, and may be a bit off. But if you try to harmonize the true Penelope motif (the one's you'll hear in the Horse and the Infant and There are Other Ways) and the fake Penelope motif made by the sirens, they're dissonant, meaning they clash. This is another way that musically speaking, that isn't Penelope. I'm not sure if it's also because it's in a different key, but they definitely don't sound the same.

I'm not exactly sure I am correct on this. But I'm pretty sure that in terms of Greek mythology Scylla and Poseidon are related. I am pretty sure that Poseidon is either Scylla's Father or Grand Father. But this is based on my very loose knowledge of mythology.

Depending on the writer Poseidon would have been her lover before she became the monster she is now. Would make sense if he wouldn't go there since he was indirectly responsible for her being cursed. Again depending on which version of the myth we're using.

About that realy low note you talked about in Different Beast. I agree that I haven't heard it before either. I have a little theory. We sudenly hear it after the song Monster. Could it be The Monster has "joined" the crew and is now singing along? Or maybe one of the soldiors has a realy low voice XD, but I like my own theory better.

Honestly I disagree with the last part, this saga has my crying(which I was/am surprised about as it has me crying every time now) but losing our sunshine boy had/has me sobbing every time, I can't go near survive, remember them or the underworld without crying every time
