Thank you for reposting these “Ride the Cyclone” videos. I can finally experience this incredible show. Looking forward to more!

while noels song doesn’t really highlight the specifics of his personality, it is bursting with the sheltered passion that he has had inside of him growing up queer in a small town. and now that he never got to be his true self, all of the passion is being released at once. he has created a passionate fantasy in his head since he has never felt he could be himself.

like noel’s song while it sounds crazy, makes me so emotional. bc i know what it’s like to be queer and to hide myself and all of my passion for life and my interests bc im scared to be myself. and to know he never got to really express any of his art or passion in his life while he was alive makes me really sad. he wanted to feel, to experience life like life is supposed to be experienced. being his true self and navigating pain and loss and love and ecstasy as his true and whole self. since he was just trying to blend in and cater to everyone else, his whole self was watered down. he has so much love for french cinema and dark romance in fiction that he could never share with anyone else. finally he has someone to listen to his passion, and it’s after he has already died. Makes me really emotional

Talia's choreography and staging is SO lovely, I adore it. This and a later song are my favorite visually in the show. But this whole musical just impresses the hell out of me, lyrically, musically, and visually. There's this one song on the soundtrack - a cut concept song - that I genuinely CANNOT get through without actually crying. And I mean that as high praise, hehe. And I just love the characters a lot. Constance is my favorite!
