Super excited to see you react to this show, it's absolutely wonderful! Bow and the girl with the mask that you pointed out are definitely two of my favorite characters in She-ra. As you go through the series, I'm sure I'll end up yapping about them and my other favorites in the comments. I think you'll enjoy the various relationships and character arcs in this show! I will also *fully* support any exploration into anime reactions you might do in the future. There's some REALLY good anime out there, both old and new. For now, though, I'm glad you're loving She-ra so far! I need to watch more of Vox Machina too so I can catch up on your reactions (plus the show is just really good). :)

If you like this and haven’t seen it yet, ND Stevenson also did Nimona which I would also highly recommend (even just in personal time if you don’t want to react). It’s one of my favorite movies ever.

on one hand, I'm disappointed about no vox machina. on the other hand? oh boy two cakes!! :D Also, getting this reaction right after the news that She-Ra will be taken off Netflix before the end of february is so bittersweet. I hope you get through the show quickly enough, because from what I've heard, the last two seasons don't exist on DVD/Bluray, so depending on how you feel about pirating, it could get close

But that's not to discourage you to react to it, I am an anime fan myself, and getting you to watch My Hero Academia or Death Note (2 of my favourites) would be a dream, but let's take it one step at a time. Hyped about She-Ra and I'm so so happy you enjoyed these 2 episodes, it only gets better from here on out

The comment that Bow is the only one who's not a princess is in fact both a deep lore and (non-spoiler) fancanon drop. There's a very popular fan canon that Bow is a trans man, bolstered by the hot springs/ spa episode. Bow's swim top which matches his usual aesthetic also resembles a binder which covers where top surgery scars would be if he has them. He is also frequently drawn standing with backgrounds that are entirely pink, white and blue, and there are hints that Bow may be a chosen name instead of the one his parents chose.

As a fan of She-Ra, I'm just glad you're liking the show so far. It's fun to watch someone new get into it. And for the record, I actually really like your commentary and analysis style for She-Ra!

Dude, you can cosplay anybody as long you dont do blackface or perpetuate stereotypes, no worries. If skin color was a limiting factor then darker skinned people would almost never get to cosplay lol. I think you would look cool in Bow's armor, and anybody complaining about it would probably be in bad faith 👍
