I like that deaths mean something, so they even did cut deaths from the campaign out of the story as "deaths" when they were revivified or similar shirt stuff because it would feel cheap

Drake

Scanlan saying "hate the bear" is meta funny as sam tried to kill it a million times xD. He always made sure dmg was thrown against it and no one forgets it xD

Drake

Jeah you misunderstood the paradise part, it was Percy shitty in translation... Pike said directly after that it's probably not paradise but sky. That's how they found the entry

Kevin Taylor

In the actual campaign you were right about a tempting paradise and there being a letter puzzle.

Oh, what I felt for you when you jokingly said about Grog stabbing, just as that happens.

Not to spoil anything but man, that 11 and then 17 on whether Vax was going to die that episode were *so* appropriate. You're starting to see a bit of it, but you won't see just how much until much much later.

"I am very flammable" remember, this is the guy with black powder in his pockets. Not only is it funny, he's SO RIGHT for running tf away.

Now that you have gotten this far, I would highly recommend fan made songs by Chase Noseworthy on Youtube. He did songs for a few specific moments in the show/campaign. I believe he did one for Vex, Vax, Percy, Keyleth, and Grog. As of the moment hold off on Keyleth's and Grog's. I would recommend in order Percy, Vex, Vax. Would love to see a reaction to those songs.

You should definitely watch the clip that "passed through fire" line at ~40:00 comes from. Context; the letter is from a guest character that traveled with them briefly named Kerrek (played by Patrick Rothfuss), an older human paladin-turned-blacksmith. (just the end of the link cause idk what the rules are here regarding such) /watch?v=oe1QH2E0g4c

1:03:00 Keyleth is a Circle of the Moon Druid; the subclass that has more focus on the Wild Shape ability. At 10th level, they can Wild Shape into the various elementals. Marisha in the campaign had a tendency to somewhat limit/tailor the spells she prepared during the various points based on her progress in her aramente. Pre-streaming she had done the Air portion growing up, and she had done the Earth portion.

About revivify: It’s not that Matt makes them less common, he homebrews so that casting the spell is harder in his games. If I remember correctly, people have to speak during the ritual, making persuasion checks to convince the deceased to return to life. Each successful check lowers the DC of the final roll (that Matt does in front of everyone) which determines whether or not the spell works. So not only does it provide some incredible RP moments, but it keeps perma-death a real possibility, even at high levels

Matt's resurrection rules basically work out to a multi-person skill check of almost any kind they think will assist, with each success lowering the DC for the chance of revival. The DC starts at 10 for the character's first death, and increases every time they die and get resurrected. The spell Revivify has special rules, however, when used in battle. When used in combat, it is just a spellcasting ability check against the target's death DC for the sake of expedience in battle.

I like that the whole time they're fighting Kami the Sphinx, he's attacking them emotionally as well, basically telling them how to beat him. And I love the song Scanlan uses to win. Being Scanlan, you expect some freaky song about a threesome with a pair of Sphinxes, but it's actually this beautiful ballad about these star-crossed lovers? Just fantastic.

Fun fact time - Trinkets name came from Vax complaining about Vex keeping him. "You have your trinkets, brother, let me have mine."
