Not clashes specific. It is through acknowledgement of their peers. The clashes is just one way they show it. So if you were fighting a war of extermination against someone you declare subhuman you would not acknowledge them as peers.

Wonder if Lea has advanced at all during this timeframe. Also I think pPatori may become her arcane home that she'll either be the head of the house of iron and blood for or she'll create a new city nearby in the wandering plains as a gateway for both humanity and arcane. I just wonder how she'll grow beyond the island continent.
