After a truly awful week (yesterday involving being at work for over 14 hours), this was an amazing and wonderful chapter (even with the Black Legion return). This interaction with the turtle was so much better than I expected or imagined. I adore that he’s a sovereign and for once, we seem to have a sovereign who actually is kind, even if it’s small. The Sovereign from the mountain equivocal although he definitely did help a little (in order to regain his peace) and I enjoy that he’s still watching. And I know Anatalis is a sovereign, but the turtle seems more… human? Anatalis is clearly wolf as he should be. I love all the birds/animals and I appreciate that it seems the Tala is possible working towards being considered more pillar than Eskau (or adding another spot to arcane society) that is elevated and maybe could be part of house, and still a top decision maker like a Pillar, but done in gated humanity style. I am expressing myself badly, but again, I loved this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
