hello everyone, I'm working on improving stability, uncached full files will take a while to load and imports are a bit backlogged both due to bandwidth. Thank you.

Heya,

Next chapter of Borne of Caution is getting there. I wanted to have it done on the 28th, but now I'm aiming for March 2nd or 3rd. Sorry for the delay, but like the last chapter, there is heavy stuff going on in the story and getting it just right is taking time. I don't want to mess anything critical up and diminish the experience for you. Thank you all for your patience.

As a reminder, after either this chapter or the next, Borne of Caution is going on a short break as Born of Desire and my original story, Polluted Palelight (name still pending) take the spotlight for a bit. I expect Borne of Caution to be coming back in early April.

Thankee Much,
Fuggmann.

@Richard It's not exactly a paywall though, it's simply an incentive for those with a bit of disposable income to help support the work he puts in, something a 'few' of us already do for no other reason than support him.. It's not as if 'advance chapters' are locked behind that wall forever, just delayed releases on the usual websites. A schedule is set up, whether that be weekly, monthly or otherwise, and anyone who reads normally then has the option available to them, to simply read ahead. It's a business model that many fanfiction writers use for a reason, because unfortunately, these chapters will never reach publication due to copyright. To me, that isn't fair for a fanfic that is so well written. When a quality work like this comes along, the author puts a lot of time and effort in to it. It's just common sense to make a buck, while offering fair incentives for themselves, and others. A series like this? I can tell you right now that this Patreon will Triple, 'minimum' (More like Quadruple), it's subscribers. The author could EASILY turn this in to a full time job with how many people read this and would be willing to pay for a few extra chapters. And that is NOT an exaggeration, this is quite literally one of maybe..3? 4? Consistently updated and GOOD Pokemon fanfictions. That is a very small competition. Finally, don't get me wrong here, I completely understand Fuggs hesitation and mindset regarding that sort of thing. It's a slippery slope than many authors do fall foul of. But many also don't. There are many with very fair business models, and regardless of what anyone says, the reality of it is we aren't 'paying' for the chapters themselves..We're paying for their time. The time it takes out of real life to write chapters like these is worth a lot. Any author I susbscribe to, I'm not paying for their chapters, I'm paying for the time it takes them to plan, write, edit and publish them. Time they COULD be spending with their partners, family or friends, or simply working a normal 9-5 job to make ends meet.

Fuggmann: there is heavy stuff going on in the story and getting it just right is taking time. Me and my emotions: haha, I’m in danger. But in all seriousness, take all the time you need, we know that you always deliver and I’d rather you be happy with your own work!
