So that bonus thing I posted as a one-off after being asked "How would you do a powerwank" got a surprisingly enthusiastic reception. Who knew? So with that in mind, it's becoming a side project. I cannot guarantee an update schedule for this story or that all updates will be quality, but each one will be given fair effort.

Borne of Desire was supposed to be the side-project, but I'm beginning to realize that both being about pokemon means creative overlap, and at some point, Borne of Desite got a storyboard, so it's not just over-indulgent junk anymore. Oops. This one is going to be a firm "junk food" kind of story.

Summary: A man finds himself within a world familiar, yet alien. Bereft of the usual boons, the revelation that he is on his own and starting from the bottom is harsh. What he DOES receive, however, is perhaps the greatest tool available to any engineer: the ability to automate. One may be weak, but the strength of the many cannot be denied. (Factorio crossover in the loosest sense)

Omg, I love the idea of being inspired by Factorio on what he can do. Mix that with indulgent junk but still with your quality writing, considering that even that first chapter was supposed to be indulgent garbage, and this will be an absolutely amazing fic. I'm all here for it.

Power wanks or wish fulfillment always gets good response early on. Drops off very fast when people get bored of it though.

I'm gonna put in a... not so much a vote as a comment that having too many writing projects on one patreon is a bad thing. Stories are best in their completion, and it would be sad if progress got spread too thin, especially for serial fiction. Maybe if you picked one of the stories and gave it a guaranteed schedule of x chapters per t time it would be different, But, while I haven't read the powerwank yet, it would become frustrating as a patron if half or more of the stuff being posted wasn't something I cared about.

I understand where you're coming from. Like I said, this is going to be a firm side project, something to do when my muse will not cooperate with anything else. I can't tell you how often I've sat and stared at a blank word doc and tried to write BoC, only for my brain to be playing the equivalent of TV static or just be in another world altogether. I'm not going to let myself get stretched thin.

10 bucks that Alpha 1 sees themselves as a girl... it's a fuggman staple for there to be a man/woman co-mc pair, wouldnt hold it against Fugg.
