Well - to be fair - if you do up the prices it keeps your existing patrons at the same price and only applies the new price to new subscriptions, so it's not actually suggesting you charge your loyal subscribers more. But either way, I think $5 is a fair price in a world of subscription services, so I've never had any interest in changing it and I'd only open a higher tier if I could deliver something extra for it that was worthwhile, but I've never been able to think of what that would be.

It's strange to me they mention subscribers' and community growing, instead of just suggesting to consider how things cost differently today than they did 100 months ago, because it comes off to me as saying "Hey, you can get more money from people."

I think it might be geared more towards creators who deliver physical rewards, or have overhead costs that are affected by inflation, so a bigger community might mean bigger costs for them? Or like, they're trying to imply that because an artists quality has gone up, it should cost more? idk. But you're right, that's sort of a weird irrelevance. A growing subscriber base doesn't really have anything to do with inflation. Hadn't really paid that much attention to it to notice that tbh lol
