A 6.6 magnitude earthquake has struck Lushan in China's Sichuan Province. It's the worst earthquake to hit China since an even worse earthquake hit Sichuan in 2008. The death toll is rising and thousands of victims have been injured. On this episode of China Uncensored, Chris Chappell pays tribute to what Mr. Rogers would call "the helpers,"—people throughout China who have been doing what they can to help the situation. Like Chen Ying, a reporter who interrupted her own wedding so she could cover the disaster that hit her hometown. But while people like Chen were doing good, Chinese authorities were up to no good, arresting activists and Tibetan monks who tried to help, blocking aid, hiding the story on CCTV, all the while Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying is telling the world that international aid is unnecessary.
