Greetings to the China Uncensored 50 Cent Army!

This has definitely been a week full of mixed emotions. I’m sure you all saw the episode on YouTube’s increased censorship of China Uncensored. It was great to see how many of you stepped up to support the show and we’re welcoming a lot of new members to the 50 Cent Army this week. It’s a great sign of how individual people can stand up to the slow creep of authoritarianism.

On the other hand, this week saw the very fast creep of authoritarianism with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We all know China is keeping a close eye on the situation and calculating what can be learned for their eventual invasion of Taiwan. I’m encouraged to see that Russia might get banned from the Swift financial systems. That’s a devastating economic sanction that absolutely would be a deterrent to a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.

Frankly, it should be clear to all that we’re in the midst of a new Cold War. Western democracies need to band together to fight against this global authoritarian bloc. Hopefully this was a wakeup call.

In more behind the scenes news, we had our first ever in person team meeting with some of our remote writers. It was great actually meeting them in person and we were able to brainstorm a lot of good ideas for the future of the show, so I’m very encouraged for what’s on the horizon and I think you will be excited as well. We’re also working on getting the shows backed up on other platforms like Odysee and Rumble. For better or for worse, we’re even on Truth Social now.

Our new studio is finally up and running this week. We’re having a few technical glitches here and there as we adapt to some new equipment, but this will serve as a platform for us to greatly expand what we’re doing.

And on a personal note, I’m going to be taking a few days to go visit my parents. I haven’t been able to see them since before the CCP Virus pandemic, so I’m pretty excited about that.

So from Matt, Shelley, and I, once again a big thank you to the China Uncensored 50 Cent Army! Thank you for joining us in the fight against the Chinese Communist Party. I think it's becoming increasingly clear just how important that fight is.
