A MAJOR Defeat for China

The Chinese Communist Party thought it could easily take over the Solomon Islands. Not with its military, but by flooding the small island nation with bribes and cozying up to its leaders. One of those leaders however refused to go along, and he almost paid the ultimate price. In this episode of China Uncensored, we interview Daniel Suidani, the former premier of the Solomon Islands' Malaita Province who was ousted from power over his support for Taiwan and opposition to Chinese influence. Thanks to you, our incredible China Uncensored fans who contributed to his campaign on GoFundMe, he was able to come to DC and share his experiences with think tanks, universities, the media and Congress. Editorial of Solomon Islands newspaper... "THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BEIJING OFFICE Editorial, ViewpointBy Sol Star NewsJanuary 12, 2023 IT is heartening to know the government is working on a new appointment for our diplomatic mission in Beijing, China. It shows, among other things, the importance the government attaches to our growing relations with the People’s Republic of China, PRC for short. China is a very important strategic partner in development. Its good intention…" https://www.solomonstarnews.com/category/viewpoint/editorial/

And this could be a commie inspired article...especially the ending...like all together grovel before Xi...from Sol Star newspaper... "Hate speech in parliament must be discouraged You are here: HomeViewpointEditorialHate speech in parliament must… LAST week’s parliament sitting that eventually led to the passing of the controversial Constitutional (Amendment) Bill 2022 has brought the reputation of Parliament and some Members of Parliament (MP) into question. This was because of the way the MPs debate in the highest chamber of the land and how the debates were controlled. During the Thursday’s sitting to debate the Bill, the exchange of words and personal attacks between some of the MPs had gone beyond the expectation of our ordinary citizens who turned into the radio or watched the sitting via live-stream. It was obvious through the debates that there were frustrations, hate and lack of trust between two sides of the House. The personal attacks that were hurled between the Government and Opposition benches got many members of the public talking and debating via the social media since then. It also brings into the question the leadership quality of our leaders who could not control their emotions and vented their frustrations in such a manner. Some of the MPs blasted each other and even labeled each other as ‘liars.’ There were also questions whether some of the things that some of the MPs were informing the public were true or not about the support for the Bill by their constituents. Because for the Opposition MPs, they said, their constituents are not happy with the Bill. While for the Government MPs, some of them claimed their people fully support, but reality on the ground may not be true. However, these claims cannot be independently verified. Our country will continue to remain divided if your leaders continue to display such leadership qualities. Therefore, it’s important for our leaders to sort out their differences and stand united to sail this nation forward. Let’s give credit to those MPs who have continued to show leadership quality and maturity by speaking up and highlighting issues of national interest and did not say things to offend their colleague MPs. MPs should know that they are elected by their people and what they have shared in Parliament is not of their own, but on behalf of their constituents and the people they represent. As such its always important for our MPs to watch their words. Some of comments were unfortunate given their status as national leaders. Through your words and actions our people can judge you and your people. The recent drama at Parliament should be a lesson for our MPs. Because they are elected leaders and they must continue to show some maturity when it comes to debating in the House. Respect for each other as leaders is paramount!"
