Venezuela, a major regional ally of the CCP, has recently announced plans to hold a referendum on whether or not they should annex the Essequibo region of Guyana, which is disputed between the two but widely recognized as being part of Guyana's sovereign territory. How likely do you think it is that the CCP will be the only major nation other then possibly Russia to support Venezuela when the referendum inevitably shows that Venezuela should annex Essequibo?
