TheADHDOverlord

This was my favorite movie when I was a teenager. I just loved the vibe, Renee Russo, and it really barely ever takes a breath...which my ADHD realllllly appreciated 😂 Great reason to give it a rewatch for the 1st time in over 10 years. Also, Be Cool is not as Horrible as it's rep. It doesn't have much focus and is not as good as this, but it is a breezy watch imo.

Good reaction. I think Snatch by Guy Ritchie has echoes of Get Shorty (I know you've reacted to Snatch). 🐕 👍 The director of Get Shorty, Barry Sonnenfeld, directed The Addams Family movie that you loved so much (and the sequel) - also the Men in Black films. He has involvement a with few films you've yet to do and are of significant excellence; - Blood Simple (Sonnenfeld does cinematography. Dir by Coen Bros, their 1st movie. Crime/thriller) - Raising Arizona (Sonnenfeld does cinematography. Dir by Coen Bros, crime/comedy) - Miller's Crossing (Sonnenfeld does cinematography. Dir by Coen Bros. Neo-noir gangster) A film called 'The Player' is not by Sonnenfeld but has a lot in common with Get Shorty. It's a dark, sharp, cynical satire about high level players in the movie business. With one successful producer (Tim Robbins) being targeted for harassment by a disgruntled writer. Tons of cameos. Directed by the legendary Robert Altman (M*A*S*H*, etc., etc.) It's essential viewing for movie buffs / nerds. Unpredictable. Not in the same league as above but still very worth seeing; - Throw Momma From the Train (Sonnenfeld does cinematography. Crime/murder/comedy - Danny DeVito, Billy Crystal) - Out of Sight (Sonnenfeld does cinematography. Crime - Clooney) - Big (Sonnenfeld does cinematography. Comedy - Tom Hanks) - Ruthless People (hilarious, mean-spirited 80s crime/comedy) Two very nice, sweet & stupid people kidnap the horrible wife (Midler) of a horrible wealthy business man (De Vito) with intent to ransom her. The husband couldn't care less.
