Something I always like when Trek does is show the characters doing their jobs in a professional manner. It makes the “downtime” episodes all the more interesting. Like Worf not showing up for duty on time is a big deal and gets him into actual trouble with Picard and that informs us as to how important his crisis of faith is for the episode. It’s the little touches like that I love.

Picard: Damnit, people, can we go ONE week without a problem? It's like a friggin' rotation here! Troi? Are you next? Geordi? Data? O'Brien? Wait, where is O'Brien? Or Barclay for that matter.
