Holy moly this one hit close to home for me cause my dad is a former sailor. I kept hoping for the best because we have a movie so I just figured they had to make it so they could tell their story... I really loved the score, any other James Horner scored movies we should check out?

I saw a documentary about this storm a few years before the movie came out. Aside from the radio messages, no one knows what happened to the Andrea Gale after they left port. Unfortunately, the big wave, real, or fictional, was spoiled on the movie posters. They also figure that the missing Coast Guard helicopter crewman misjudged his jump, and landed in the trough rather than the peak of the wave, as they were aiming, also landing on top of the other crewman causing his injuries.
