I already posted something like this on Discord, so if you've already answered there, feel free to ignore this. I'm about to start outlining books 11 and 12 of Path of Dragons, and I'm compiling notes right now. So, I thought it'd be a good time to ask you all a couple of questions. Look at this kind of like a focus group. It's your opportunity to remind me of things I might have forgotten or to subtly guide the details of the story. So, here are the questions:

  • What plot points/events would you most like to see going forward?

  • What has been your favorite book so far?

  • What has been your favorite moment so far?

  • What has been your least favorite book so far?

  • Is there anything you'd like to see the story avoid going forward?

Feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you'd like. I'm just looking for feedback on what's working, what isn't, and what you all would most like to see going forward. Thanks!

(Same message that I put on discord) 1- The plot point that i’d like to see more often is when he uses his more classical Druid abilities, like modifying/creating/taking care of plants (because he is more a shapeshifter than an actual Druid most of the time) 2- I think I preferred the first book, because of all the crafting/survival and self-improvement while not always being about fighting monsters (might be because of the pacing of the fights, them being far from each other might have helped) 3- I don’t have one particular moment that I prefer, but I did really enjoy the nuclear sunflower chapters, every time we have a pov of mcs’ grove or abilities or even when he has an improvement session (cultivation, new abilities,…) 4- I believe that the trial of primacy was the “worse” for me, I enjoyed it but it’s really repetitive (maybe too much combat that look like each other 🤷‍♂️) 5- As for things that I’d like to be avoided, repetition would be high on the list (wanderlust while other pov are in crisis, running away from *all* responsibilities, people hating without knowing sh!t about him,…). The combat in tower/trials are particularly too similar (makes an error of jugement/no preparation, break bones, heal, rince and repeat). Another “problem” would be that people tend to see Elijah as a threat to every living being when he is just chilling, and act as if they never had to do something against moral codes to protect themself/their peoples since the touch of the world tree, even more so when they target him even if they know that he is by far the strongest “human” on earth (and that they need him) **yes Isaiah I’m looking at you** 👀
