hello everyone, I'm working on improving stability, uncached full files will take a while to load and imports are a bit backlogged both due to bandwidth. Thank you.

I've been invited to be a guest at Anthrocon this year, mostly because they're doing a 1920's theme for their 20th anniversary. The arrangement involved doing the cover art for the conbook, of course.

It's a wrap-around, so the front cover is the right half of the image and the back is the left (picturing a parody Arrow Collar ad). It's not Lackadaisy exactly, but close enough that I figured I'd be justified in sharing it here. And I'm not supposed to be showing this around before the convention...but Patrons get a pass.

I've uploaded a larger version of the image here, in case anyone is interested.

That's amazing! You create such gorgeous characters and expressions for them, so that they leap off the page at you. But I have to say the backgrounds you do are just as impressive. I HATE drawing backgrounds because they are so time consuming and the straight lines are especially frustrating. You truly amaze me with your skill!

I love it! Each character is perfect. And this reminds me, have you heard of this band? I think you will dig them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB6HY8r983c

Thank you, Katie! I really used to hate doing backgrounds too - I was mostly just interested in drawing the characters, and the background seemed like a chore. I've started to enjoy making backgrounds in recent years, though. It helps to think of the background as a sort of character too, and if I take my time with it, I get sort of lost in the feeling of the place I'm painting or drawing, and then I begin to have fun with it. (Still hate drawing straight lines, though...hehe).

Thanks, Benny! Actually, in a recent livestream, someone else recommended the same band. They're excellent - I like their old fashioned covers better than the original songs in a lot of cases. Thanks for the link!
