The Volume 2 Hardcover book is now available for pre-order. Books should begin shipping in late July.

If you're a $5+ Patron, you also should have received a message from me containing a discount coupon for the book. If for some reason you did not receive one, please let me know (either by message or in a comment here) and I will remedy that, forthwith!

The 2017 Calendar and numerous prints are newly available in the 4DE Store as well.

A few notes:

***You'll probably notice the price has gone up on this hardcover. This is in part because of the larger dimensions of the book, and in part because it's a much longer volume than its predecessor. All of these things are my fault. From a purely business standpoint, Volume 2 should have been split into two separate volumes. I am a bad businessperson, though, and I thought it worked better as a whole, so I insisted upon keeping it that way. Hopefully, in the end, it is worth the added cost. It's a pretty hefty book, comparatively, and a lot of work and blood and sweat and literal tears went into it. Also a fair amount of screaming.

***There are tentative plans for a softcover, in case you were going to ask. That is all contingent on the hardcover not utterly tanking in sales, though. No guarantees, unfortunately, but I'm hopeful.

***4DE does ship overseas. However, the cost of said shipping is growing ever more expensive, especially for the bigger European markets. They love to slap tariffs all over incoming media. It's pretty ludicrous at this point, really. That is frustratingly beyond my control or that of my publisher. We are seeking distribution partners, though, so that Lackadaisy might be purchased by European readers locally and without the added punch in the face . (And hey, if you happen to have a favorite little comic shop in the UK, France or anywhere else in the region, it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask them who they order their books from and then pass the name along to me. I'd be ever so grateful.)

Lastly, thanks, everyone. You really made this possible. I love you for it, and I can't wait to get rolling on Volume 3.

Any chance that the book may pop up on Amazon or that it may be distributed through Diamond to comic stores? It could be an option to get rid of international shipping for some readers, myself included.

lackadaisy

It should be on Amazon (US) within the next couple of months. There are complications with getting it stocked in other warehouses like Amazon UK, though - ones that could be detrimentally costly to a small company like 4DE. I think that option has been tabled for right now. If we end up printing a softcover, that will be distributed by Diamond.

Duncan Henderson

Just ordered. This has been a long time coming, and well worth the wait!

jrmillstone

Is there going to be any bundles with a tee shirt and calendar like you did with volume 1?

Sophie Forsyth

Holy mackerel, you weren't kidding about the shipping - it's another $50 to where I am in the UK. I'm desperate to order it, I bought volume one over christmas last year, but I just can't stretch all the way from $40 to $90 for it right now. It's a bummer. :( Hopefully bundles and/or alternatives like Amazon will make it doable for me this year, I'm still super excited about this gorgeous book.

Mark Skews

Book 1 was available signed, will this be the case with book 2 as well?

Wood

I'm in France and my local import comic shop orders from Album In Paris, using the Diamond previews catalogue.

Not officially at this time, but I will probably arrange a package offer for signatures/sketches either around the holidays or in early 2017. If you'd rather not wait and just want a signature, though, message me and I can make special arrangements to get you a signed book.

Mo Holkar

I'm in the same boat as Sophie Forsyth below, so I'll have to wait a little while for other outlets to appear. Painful though that will be... It looks like a really fantastic and beautiful package, Tracy -- thank you so much for putting it all together!

Erika Hapke

Oh goodness, I just pre-ordered my copy as well as a new copy of volume 1; if you do end up signing any I would *love* either or both of mine signed!! <3 (and if not that's ok too, I'm SO excited!)

Erika Hapke

Ordered! Along with a shiny new hardcover copy of volume 1 (since I gave my first copy as a get-well gift to a friend). Whoo!

I too am in the UK and in the same situation as Sophie Forsyth and Mo Holkar - though my heart truly *wants* a physical copy (and a copy of Vol1 too!) I'm going to have to live with the PDF files for now and hope the bundles/other outlets make things more reasonable down the line. The book looks beautiful, though! And thank you for making PDF copies available, I genuinely do appreciate that so much. :D

lackadaisy

I do apologize. If and when a solution to the shipping cost presents itself, I'll be certain to let Patrons know, first thing.

Lundlaeva

It's OK, I completely understand that your hands are tied here. I'm sorry that I can't support you further and buy a copy!

Mark Skews

I will be happy to wait until the holidays, that will give me time to save up for shipping to NZ. Thank-you for the special arrangement offer though, it is most thoughtful. I look forward to the start of book 3.

HunnyBudders

I bought mine! I can't wait until I get it! ^^

BlueMoonHound

is there a volume 1 book? ::o

lackadaisy

Indeed there is - both a hardcover and a softcover: http://shop.4de.com/franchises/lackadaisy?product_id=54 http://shop.4de.com/franchises/lackadaisy?product_id=56 ...also available on Amazon, if you're interested.

Creideiki

You can add me to the list of people who will buy it when there's a better European option available. $50 shipping to Sweden for a $40 book is a tad excessive. It would be great if you could get it distributed by Diamond, since then I could buy it through my local comic book store.

Benjamin Hester

Is there an ETA on the Vol 1 reprint? I want to get both, but I want to (re)read vol 1 first.

lackadaisy

Volume 1 soft covers and hardcovers are available and in stock...just not in the extra-large size this Volume 2 hardcover comes in. If and when the publisher reprints Volume 1 is fairly dependent on how quickly Volume 2 can recoup its printing costs in sales. I wish I could answer more definitively, but book printing is enormously expensive, and a small publisher like 4DE can't keep throwing money at printing new book volumes that only achieve middling sales numbers, so we have to wait a bit and see how things go first.

lackadaisy

Working on that! Bookdepository.com seems like a promising solution at this point. Lackadaisy Volume 1 is carried by Diamond. If they decide to pick up Volume 2 as well, I will be sure to say so.

Benjamin Hester

That is exactly what I didn't want to hear. How could you have possibly known?

Karina Lebedeva

Does the discount coupon apply to the newly fresh and ever so excited $5+ Canadian patrons? *much hope and sparkle in eyes* (ʘ‿ʘ )

Yen Quach

Hiya! I help out at a comic shop in the UK and Diamond are pretty much the only/big 'ol distributor of books and stuff. If needed, I can pass on your information to someone else who is higher up in the chain than I am :)

Dreamy G

Diamond is what my shop in Sweden uses too, so I'd much appreciate it if you could offer your book to them, because 4DE charges like four times actual shipping (and tariffs for books and printed material are pretty low here, if I buy a single book it gets so low I wouldn't even have to pay it)
