Sick!...been waiting for this since it was announced.

Flava Flav doesn't do a lot of rapping but he was considered a musical prodigy that is proficient in a bunch of instruments lol

Matt

Wow didn't think you'd jam to it as much as you did but very happy you did. Also talking about Anthrax, they did a version of Bring Da Noise with PE. Here it is with a very 90's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ3WZaKjHNQ Due to the amount of video games that used this on their soundtrack (and now i understand what ultimately shaped my music taste) I now think this as the version which i expect when i put this album on lol Also you are in for a treat to notice some other metal/rock versions of cover songs in the future

Matt

Also it makes me sad due to the copyright laws we will never see more album s where they take little bits and combined them due to it being far to expensive to pay the rights

‘She Watch Channel Zero’ still goes on today. Just substitute T.V. With social media and young people, especially young women’s brains are being washed by the garbage being posted on a daily basis.

Rage Against The Machine were definitely influenced by the great P.E. Zack especially, but even Tom Morello was influenced. Just listen to how he made his guitar sound like turn table scratching.

This album is definitely a classic. This album, Straight Outta Compton, and Paid In Full, are the 3 best, and most influential albums from the 80’s (in my humble opinion) Great reaction Bob, as always!

You have no idea how many rap songs sampled this album or gave nods to the lyrics. It's funny, Chuck D never had the deepest lyrics and clearly never the greatest flow but something about his raw militance was like a drill sergeant just commanding you to listen. Great album. Also whoever told you DS2 is their favorite album needs to be banned from the Patreon, it's almost certain they're using their dad's credit card anyway lmao

“Grillin” is a long stare also called ice grillin just a cold stare deemed as a disrespectful also know as mean muggin 💎

I chuckled when you were afraid the beats would be simple. Bomb Squad and Hank Shocklee were so ahead of their time. In fact, when Ice Cube left NWA, he went to the Bomb Squad to produce his first solo album, the classic Amerikkka's Most Wanted. This is top 5 album to me and I can't wait for you to do their Fear of a Black Planet album.

bobthepoppop

Yeah, but that song is fairly silly considering he's telling the girl to go read a book or learn about her culture while he's wanting to watch Tyson fights or the Super Bowl lol

Brandon Williams

It’s not really silly because this song is mostly about black women addicted to watching T.V. And getting lost in a predominantly white fantasy world, dominated by materialism and narcissistic personalities. The sports heroes they were referring to, helped uplift the black image, while the TV shows and commercials often destroyed the black image.

Officially want to third the motion for AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted. Just incredible production and storytelling. It goes harder than the PE album. Also in my top five rap albums
