Ghais Guevara is another great underground artist to watch out for. He was featured on Backxwash’s album last year. His album “There Will Be No Super-Slave” got a lot of attention and was one of my favorite projects of that year. His music is a little darker and more experimental than McKinley Dixon’s but just as political and hard-hitting. He is also very influenced by JPEGMAFIA, I believe he self-produces everything on his own as well.

Finally someone brought him up. He came out of nowhere for me, I listened to BlackBolshevik and was really impressed to the point where I was confused why no one was talking about it. The production is nuts, the squidward sample? Incredible.

ohhh bob you were so close yet so far. I think a big part that twisted you up was the "girl in jail" from Live! At The Kitchen Table. McKinley didn't rap that verse, instead it was Ghais Guevara talking about his dad I believe, and how he was released from jail but fell victim to a sickness.

Hey bob, idk if you had any of these planned ready but some suggestions for some great albums to react to: Lil wayne- Carter 2 (my personal favorite wayne album), Little Brother- Minstrel Show, kaytranada- Bubba, and common- "be" (some of the greatest production for an album ever)
