This maybe an unpopular opinion but his second album, The Massacre, is way better. Love that album. I may revisit it soon

A lot of great trivia and opinions in the comments. Just wanted to add that Jay-Z knew that 50 was gonna take over the game before it happened. He has an interview somewhere where he mentions that he warned all of his Rocafella artists to hurry up and drop their music because once 50 arrived it was over for them... And he was right because for the next few years 50/G-unit was the thing people wanted to hear coming out of NY.
