also another thing with this album. is mac miller assisted with production and composition on a lot of songs on here and jid said “each song feels like a individual film to me, mac came thru and helped post produce and organize almost every song on here” the year this dropped, swimming came out where jid is credited on there and has a feature and in oct-dec of that year jid was supposed to join mac on tour for the swimming tour, mac had passed away a month before the first show. god rest his soul it was his birthday the day you posted this 💙🩵

I’m really surprised he still not done with all J cole albums till now, I guess he don’t rock with cole that much even tho cole to me is the best rapper who can make u feel his words and the message he trying to deliver 👍

Man I remember this coming out and being so excited to hear what JID created. Hearing method man on a track with him, as laid back as it was, was like one generation giving the head nod off to the next and joey bad was just the cherry on top. Overall this project wasn't as cohesive as I usually like to keep it in heavy rotation, but it had a lot of great tracks. I remember hearing off the zoinkys and then seeing that "Larry fisherman" aka Mac miller helped produce skrawberries and it fucking hurt. After swimming came out, the tour dates were announced with JID. My friends and I were saving up money to get tickets to go see him, only a couple weeks later to get the news that my favorite artist that turned me on to so many other artists and different kinds of music had died. Mac had believed in and collaborated with JID, earthgang, Vince Staples, and many others long before their careers really popped off. I hope you get around to more of his music soon
