RIP for the lack of new content. This was the only Battle Network I ever 100%'d, and I remember Bass BX and Gregar SP being great challenges for me as a teen. I only beat Bass with the half damage from Sanctuary, and Gregar was a gauntlet that pushed me to perfectly learn his attack pattern and how to recognize and respond to every attack because of how fast he was plus learning that certain chips can double-hit him because he takes up two spaces and exploiting that as well as filling my folder with things that just couldn't miss him plus using Slash Cross cause any 3x2 attack is a guaranteed hit from the front row. Was a good time.

Thank you John for undertaking this monumental task as this has been quite the trip down old memory lane, with commentary to express the feelings I couldn't quite fully describe as a kid.

Damn, getting 100% on the legacy collection sounds abominably tedious even by battle network standards. So glad I did it on cartridge before my GBAs went kaput.

Could you make a playlist for us of all of these in one?

I'm sure it's common to know now, but the RV navis in Graveyard did have a function in the Japanese GBA versions. Connecting the Beastlink Gate toy to your GBA and using real battlechips, you could play as the alt navis and level them up etc etc. Taking one to the Graveyard and doing all RV fights and going back to where Bass is at the end nets another fight with him with that navi, do it with all 5 link navis in your game and you get a secret Beastlink Gate icon on your titlescreen. This is not in the collection. Edit: I am also upset with the collection requiring online to 100% most of these games:( wished it had added alternate ways to obtain the exclusives but oh well, in 20yrs we'll get another collection that can maybe fix that.

I have a question for you I just thought about! Considering your promise to get this done was only 100 dollars... how much do you think you should have actually asked from people?
