Yeah, you should definitely check out parts of the testimonies they recreated. Would be fun to see if it were accurate.

I hope you guys react to the documentary after the series. It'll clear up the confusion left by the series. And I think I've said this before, but what the hell I'll just say it again lol, Lyle is not at all like this irl, his personality is actually completely the opposite. As a californian this episode is a little too real, and for confusion of anyone. Usually after large earthquakes, smaller quakes will follow called aftershocks, which is shown in the episode. And yeahhh the brothers actually had 50+ witnesses of family members, peers, and experts that testified for them which makes the mistrial even more insane.

Oh my god yes. No one has really reacted to it but it is such a impactful series. Maybe for black history month next year.

actually, the recordings of lyle from prison weren’t allowed to be used in court, they had no effect on the verdict, at least legally and in the court room. lyle didn’t testify in the 2nd trial, that’s true, but i don’t think it’s because of the tapes, i think he just didn’t want to, but i’ll have to fact check that.
