SEASON 3 IS HERE! I know a ton of people had hoped for a John Wayne Gacy season but the performances in this one are already so good. Charlie Hunnam is shocking so far. I see the Psycho blueprint in there and as I mention in this watch I'm really looking forward to diving into all the bare facts of Ed Gein after we watch the entire season, separate the fact vs fiction and all that. But feel free to shoot all your insights/opinions on it down below! I hope to finish the whole season within the next 2 weeks! More ATTACK ON TITAN will come soon as well and next Saturday we'll be watching SINISTER for a Twitch Movie Night!

I literally just finished watching the first three episodes and i’ve…got some opinions 😅 I wouldn’t expect many truisms in this one

Talitha

Omg yes ... I just binged this last night and I was hoping you would react to it. Strap in my dudes 😂

Zeee

Was waiting for you guys reaction!

alex ツ

Was waiting for your reactions! Discovered you guys from Dahmer.

Chrissy

Finished it yesterday. And I’ll watch it with you guys. Thought Charlie was great. Laurie Metcalf is fantastic, but criminally underused. About midway through, for me personally it starts to drift off course, by the last episode, we’ve entered Ryan Murphys imagination in such a “what is happening” kinda way, that wasn’t present to that extreme in Dahmer or The Menéndez Twins seasons. And with these kind of shows where you want it to stay as factually accurate as possible, it’s just a weird move to make to me.

I watched the first episode last night, and decided to only watch the rest thru reactions because while I’m not a true crime person, I do know a little bit about Gein, and immediately I was like “oh, hmm. Not sure about this”

RabidMango

I didn't even know this was a show. I enjoy True Crime though. I thought it was hilarious when Cody was like, "They'll probably show ripped Ed Gein get all naked," and they did it like a minute later. It's weird to portray Ed Gein with an actor who looks like he could be a Marvel Superhero. Still I'll give it a go, just with the understanding it's a Hollywood adaptation.

Big Honking Cheese

This version of Forrest Gump is dark dude.

OfficiallyGames

The woman in the comic is actually a real person called “Ilse Koch” who was married to a nazi commander of concentration camps. She earned the nickname “Witch of Buchenwald” due to her sadistic treatment of prisoners, “experiments” and even rode horses through the camp while whipping prisoners. There were allegations that she would have tattoos removed from dead prisoners and then have the skin fashioned into various items including a lampshade - though this was never officially proven.

Chrissy

Ohhh now I want to know what have been your top three most viewed shows on your channel that you’ve reacted to.

ang

finished the series today and one thing about ryan murphy is he’s gonna add a completely out there and untrue personal sparkle of ✨wtf✨ to everything he does

makayla Archie

Just finished it… sleeping with all my lights on tonight. Nasty piece of work 😵‍💫

Emmett Laughlin

Yes, they are going to do a Lizzie Borden season for the fourth season and Charlie is returning to play her father

David Jørgensen

Blonde= Superhero xD What? The guy lives on a farm doing his daily chores every single day. I think you are just fcking braindead with your living room temperature IQ

Marcos Paulo

I don’t know this story but since you mentioned it inspired Psycho he might dig her up. Bridgette also mentioned Saltburn when he was laying down her grave. Have you guys watched Chernobyl? Bathtub sipping boy is in it. (Update it fucking happened while I was posting the comment.)

Victoria

I wish they would do a HH Holmes season.

Chloe Blue

Dahmer is what introduced me to you two! I was hoping you would make reactions of this series too. I'm so pumped!

Chris Kimmel

This show is also inspired by The Texas chainsaw massacre and parts of silence of the lambs.

Alex Hudson

It’s the opposite way around the movies were based off this guy right here

Alex Hudson

It’s stated that she had a relationship with ed for over 20 years

baykae

I beg for you to watch the Conjuring Universe, even if you've seen them it's my favorite franchise during October 😛

Victoria

Ed Gein has such a tragic story... its probably difficult to think like that, but he was a victim, the same way his victims were. I study psychology and criminology and boy, you have repressed desire like that... you are going to think of other ways to feel pleasure. There is so much about Ed Gein, a person can do horrible things and still be a victim. He for sure was one, of his mother and the system of its time.

Cody Strimple

My only issue with this specific series somewhat falls into me being a huge gay-Hollywood nerd. I’ll speak up more when it comes into play with the series, but for now, I’ll say that over alllll I’m happy with the show and really enjoyed it!

Kit Taylor

It's nice to hear someone besides me say this. I didn't feel betrayed by the show for gradually creating a sympathetic character towards the end because he WAS, and Hunnam absolutely NAILED this part. I hope he wins an Emmy for this. Watching his deterioration into a simple, sad 70+ year old man was almost heartbreaking. I studied Philosophy in college along with music, and I have some experience with Schizophrenia as well... my Mom had it for 16 years. We watched her turn from a vibrant woman with a great personality to a shell of herself in hospice, about 100 pounds lighter, refusing to eat or drink, until she passed in 2019. The voices, the signs, all of that hit home for me in this show. It's ironic that maybe the MOST influential killer in cinema and TV is also the least dangerous. Yes he killed two people, and that is tragic, but if we're comparing him to people like Gacy, Dahmer or Bundy, it's not even in the ballpark. Now that I'm thinking about it... I'm almost angry that the show chose him as the subject matter... basically sensationalizing the life of a truly disturbed and abused individual. At least they depicted him honestly I suppose. I'm glad he spent his days in a mental hospital and not in a prison. That is one of the biggest wastes of money that we have here in America. Something wrong with you? Well lock them up. No rehabilitation, nothing. A show that I had to STOP watching because they tried to create a sympathetic character was Waco: Madman Or Messiah... Taylor Kitsch played David Koresh. Right from the beginning they portrayed him as a "troubled" man and almost made excuses for his disgusting behavior ("marrying" 12 year olds, "interpreting" the bible to his gullible followers)... it was poorly made and hard to watch. BTW, if you haven't seen "Mindhunter" it's excellent, as is the show "Manhunt: Unabomber" with Paul Bettany as Ted Kaczynski. The second season is great as well, about Richard Jewell, but it's been taken off most streaming services for some reason. Anyway, appreciate the intellectual comment.

Big SOA fan. Charlie killed this role as he killed Jax teller
