Another idea that, you might already be considering something along the lines of, I think it'd be a fun story/character thing if Kai as well as showering Cass and potentially the FemMC with gifts of jewelery etc also maybe one day showed up with high quality brewing gear and ingredients to help upgrade the tavern and if he has a positive relationship with Cass and the MC he might offer it as a gift or at a generous discount, however if he has more of a rivalry with the MC then maybe Cass has to do some extra work to earn a discount so she can afford to buy a gift for her hubby and their tavern. And I also think either way it'd be a good storybeat to show how much Kai has grown to enjoy and Tavern and wants to invest in its success and see what other great drinks the MC can brew for him to enjoy during his stays.
