Pride mystic artificer

i would also say, he should ask the theif to donate some of the money to the orphanage That the flower lady runs where Malakai helped rid of the aspodel (or however it was spelled) as that would help the kids in his own community

support!

Personally I say ask him for a cut and return some of the stuff to kamal. They both could make a good allies

How would it be reasonably explained that Malachi got a portion of the ring's contents?

support!

Caught the third unaware when they were transferring the contents to another ring. Would have gotten more of the stuff back but his teleportation left him too tired to pursue them further

Be honest, Was out of mana wasnt sure if people where hiden or not, demanded part of it back. Offer truth tellers to test him

EAT THE RICH, EAT THE RICH, EAT THE RICH

I'd vote against taking a cut, personally- getting greedy with this sort of thing is way too high risk, who knows if Kamal had marked coins or other mundane/magical means to investigate. (He probably does!)

While the thief has good intentions, it's also possible to get us in trouble, make problems for everyone else, and while it does distribute things I think the consequences of Kamal instead getting all vengeful will be worse socially in the long run anyway. And if we do try rn to catch them, they can escape anyway depending so we can still go the letting go route depending.

So I too would love to see that money donated to orphanages around the country, but I think I've been a bit to hard on Kamal. Sure, he is incredibly privledged, but he also hasn't really done anything wrong outside of throwing his family's money around. So I say turn in the thief, and show kamal the recording of what the thief offered and give him the chance to do better. If he doesn't... THEN we eat the rich. :)
