In a way I'm glad she found out now so they can start repairing their relationship without that secret that was looming over hyun woo's head lol. But yes it's all gas after this episode! This show got so many pivots it's insane

I recommend you the movie "A moment to remember" featuring Son yejin , it's one of the classics ; old but gold.

I’ll defend our man!! Remember his feelings in ep. 1 & 2 are because he was living in an abusive relationship with the entire family. He just wanted escape!!

Lani S

It's ok to want to escape and divorce. It's not ok to relish the thought of her dying. This is a hole in the writing IMO. I can't imagine somebody who used to be so in love to get to the point of wishing the other person dead, unless that person has done something so heinous, which is not the case here. I can imagine falling out of love. But wishing somebody dead that you used to love, nope. I even feel bad hearing a stranger dying. That's just human nature. How much more somebody you used to love.

MinWii

I respect your opinion. 👍 As it’s fictional romantic dramedy, my take is they were writing in some perspective humor. It also gives the character a place to grow from. I would never condone these thought IRL.

MinWii

Love your devotion Harris!! You’ll be crying in the Carwash on this one. I hope it pays off🤞🤞❤️❤️

Kwak Dong-yeon (dumb brother) has been typecast for a while. But I was introduced to him in the drama "Love In The Moonlight" in 2016. He played the Prince's personal Bodyguard and W.O.W... he was amazing! He never laughed, he was serious and he damn knew how to fight really well. He was also loyal and that character for me, is still one of the best bodyguards in a Kdrama. 😍 Then I watched him in variety shows and was shocked to see his real personality is sort of like his silly characters, except he's not dumb. He's smart and so witty and silly. The German actor from the office, Sébastien Roche, I've seen him in many American shows. He's one of those character actors that shows up for a short story arch or reoccurring. Loved him in Grimm and he played the big Daddy vampire in Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Which btw, you guys should consider watching if you haven't already. VD is a well written show. I know, I know. This is a Kdrama channel but you have watche'd other dramas also. 🤔😍 It could be your 3rd show filler and only when you have time. I am patient. 🤣😂😘

while it's true that what hyunwoo did after he heard haein was dying was messed up, i don't think that he was even digesting the news during the first few eps, because he was just fully focused on the fact that he finally got a way out. notice that when haein got home late in ep 2, hyunwoo was worried and wondering "is she really sick..." which means that he really hasn't even let himself register the news as reality yet. that line revealed that hyunwoo didn't acknowledge that she was sick and she was gonna die, he just acknowledged the fact that she gave him a way out. so to me, the times when he was looking forward to her death is not him wishing her dead (as he hasn't even realized the seriousness of the situation yet), it's purely him wishing to be freed

@Lani S i disagree, its not a hole in the writing for me. hyunwoo was in an abusive relationship with the entire family with absolutely no safe way out for years (if he chose to divorce, his life would be ruined as they would punish him as a backstabber). at his breaking point (when he was ready to show haein the papers even tho it meant his life would be ruined), he found out about the tumour. the initial reaction is not very unrealistic to me, key word is INITIAL here. his initial reaction of being relieved and happy that he will be free is understandable. only later when it starts to sink in would he start to process it deeper. as someone who has had many close people to me diagnosed with terminal illnesses, the shock lasts for weeks sometimes for me before i actually feel sad. so i think its unfair for everyone to expect hyunwoo to instantly forget about his own depression and mental illnesses that stemmed from living with that family in an instant when he heard the news
