I agree these episodes tend to get WAY too long sometimes. I loved "Crash Landing" so much and can watch it over and over, but the length always bothers me. But perhaps that gave us enough room to care for all these characters (besides the villains) and laugh & cry along with them, let alone the main characters but also the side characters - from the North Korean squad in "Crash Landing" to the villagers in this one. But then again, what makes a great writer is to be able to keep things short while rendering ample emotional impact, so I don't know. Good but not great, I suppose?

I love how Harris wished Eun Yoo Sung should drop dead by the end of the show in Ep9. I was laughing so hard and my hands itched to type spot on...

Episodes lasting 90+ minutes used to be quite common, as well as series with 20-24 episodes. The change came about only recently (around 2018), which was most likely influenced by ads distribution for shows shown on standard cable TV (some are split in two 30 minutes sections with ads in the middle), as well as streaming platforms.

You need to react to Fight for My Way next, it's Kim Jiwon's other iconic drama.

Lina

I recommend "uncotrallably fond" ; it's a pure melodrama and what's interesting about it is ; the plot kinda happened in real life too after the drama aired. It's featuring Suzy and Kim Woobin, they are great actors you haven't reacted to yet.

The cameo of the panelist from Singles Inferno was a side character in a drama written by the same writer and also starred Kim So-hyun which was extremely popular when it aired. The drama is called My Love From Another Star. The cameo of the older brother's wife was in Moving. She was the secretary of Min Yong Joon (the evil head of the organization which I forgot its name).

I agree that if you liked Kim Jiwon's acting, then 'Fight My Way' would be a good choice. Of course, if you want more of Kim Soohyun, I'd still recommend 'One Ordinary Day' which is a fantastic short Kdrama he's in. And as always, although it's a longer one, I'll always ask you to consider 'Mr Sunshine' - Kim Jiwon is in it as well for a small role aside from your girl Kim Taeri as the main female protagonist. Either way, enjoyed watching you guys watch this!

Agreed, my vote goes for One Ordinary Day. Its a shame it didnt get enough attention due to the platform. Btw, to watch the acting king act like a real king, the moon embracing the sun is one of the best sageuk historical melodrama.

2521 was my favorite as well🥹🥹 and then Prison Playbook. It's a slice of life drama like 2521, and it was so good. Hope you both get to watch that masterpiece as well😊😊✨

I knew it. Justin always knocks on characters falling hard for each other but in the end, he fell harder when it hits him. I assume because he watches dramas with a realist mindset. I could be wrong but that's what I see from many of your reactions so far. 😊 You guys are more generous than I am, with this rating. I loved the leads and how good their acting was, but the overall plot and journey was taxing on my empathy. Both families really came together well in the end, and there were so many character growth. But seriously, this show really started out bad. First impressions of both families had me hating on everyone hard. For me, it took way too long trying to change my mind. I lacked empathy for many characters until probably episodes 7/8. I think making the characters too flawed right away was a big turn off for me. The side characters, cameos, and both leads really saved the show for me. I give this a solid 7.

*Spoilers* . . . . . . . . I don't think the guys will like that drama. Besides, it's too much like this one but at an even slower pace. And, they actually killed off one lead! 😭

ELIte squad

idk if its just recency bias but from the little k dramas that i've watched the two main leads have the best chemistry i've seen so far. From all the things people have pointed out the one thing that I personally was sad about the most was not having a final kiss scene and wedding, I would have also liked more rom com scenes or even an epilogue but that's just me asking for too much overall I really enjoyed this drama 8/10 for me

Yunjin Cho

There are two more special episodes including actors' interviews, commentary, and bloopers. I recommend you to see them too!!

Thank you for your honest reactions

I agree, they definitely could’ve left some stuff out (all village gossip for instance, it didn’t bring anything to the table). Also, the memory loss wasn’t fleshed out enough I think, considering the time they took to explain and build up everything else this twist/storyline felt a bit rushed/not believable enough — and I’m saying it from a good place, since everything else was so smoothly done I had high expectations for that too (got myself spoiled on MDL so I kind of knew what was coming). The villains in this show were my far most hated ones — I even fast forwarded some scenes since I couldn’t stand their monologues/scheming haha. What I liked the most is probably how the leads were two strong and determined people in their own respective ways, and once they got to finally talk and confirm their feelings there were no further miscommunications.
