I felt Harris’s god I love them ahaha literally both of them are adorable 😭 I also read that the dumpling scene where Sunjae offers his hand for Sol to spit out the hot dumpling is based on the writer’s experience with her husband, instead it was gum!!!!

I can’t help but wonder what goes through his mind on a regular basis… 😂 The cringy lines in Seon-jae’s imagined conversations between Sol and Tae-seong were intentionally written into the drama by the writer. Those lines mimic the style of dialogue that was hugely popular in Korean internet novels during the 2000s. For those of us born in the ’90s, reading these overly romantic internet novels was an everyday activity when we were teenagers. We’d secretly read them during class on electronic dictionaries, MP3 players, or iPods, haha. Back then, as teenagers, we were really into that kind of cheesy romance vibe. The writer included those scenes as a nostalgic nod to that era. All those cringy lines and actions are deliberate devices meant to remind viewers of old internet novels.
