I didn't even know who the director of this drama was but when you pointed out how they love to do super close ups of actors faces I was like WAIT A SECOND! There is one korean director who is known for his ultra close ups and it indeed turned out to be him. (Lowkey shocked that he directed this though...) Fun fact he started doing those shots with 2013 drama The winter the wind blows where main actress was Song Hyekyo and I will say that was the best decision a man has ever made cause those shots of her were absolutely beautiful! He did same thing in It's Okay that's love (2014). I remember him saying that he uses this technique to help viewers better understand characters emotions which I think worked in Winter the wind blows and It's okay that's love but not as much in Moon lovers, might be because most actors here are rookies and it indeed shows, so it doesn't have same affect... maybe that's why I didn't even realise this was directed by him too.

Um...you guys can just skip the long recaps you know. 🙄😂 We don't wanna hear you complain about it every episode either. It also brings down the mood of the reaction, when you're just complaining about something you can just skip. That goes for all future shows with long recaps.

my mind is that if everyone subs to their favorite reactors and they all watch the same things at the same time I feel like people would get bored lol. I get that the time to watch them is at release but then the old ones won’t have time to shine. so maybe sometime later. I got some other plans for the next poll so we’ll see

I actually love the close up of faces! It's a beautiful cast and I really don't mind if the camera focuses on a beautiful face shot longer than necessary. 😍 I mean, I think this is how I fell for the 8th Prince. 😂 The plot to me, is a woman out of time. That's it. 😂 How she gonna navigate through this period of time, that can get a person killed for just existing? Not that it's changed much but still...her modern ways will definitely either help or hinder her situation. Also don't understand why y'all complaining about her reaction to her reality. She WAS in shock and she is still trying to find her way back, hence going back to the waterhole. What else is she gonna do? Sit in her room and go crazy? 🤔😂

Just saying, Period+Action=Lee Joongi's specialty. Dude's been a superstar since 2005 and people in korea were like, dude's carrying all this dead weight all by himself while watching this show at the time lol

I don't want to spoil anything, so all I'll say is that this drama takes unexpected turns. I think you'll be very much surprised:) As for Soo's reaction to the situation, I think she's still in shock, nothing seems real to her and this is why she's acting so irrational at times, like when she decided to follow 4th prince into the forest.

love hearing your theories of how the show might pan out.....this was a crazy ride so its interesting to hear how close or how far you guys are to how things actually went down. But enjoy the smiles and laughs while they last lol. When I first watched this I had no clue,....no info on the genre...no warning whatsoever, I was just watching it cause I love sageuks. Mehnn it beat me up and had me crying like a baby. This was the show that taught me to look up Sageuk history before starting one, and to always have a 'Kdrama with happy ending' on standby to heal the wounds lol

I think it’s understandable that you’re not that satisfied on her reaction about going back thousand years ago since you watched Mr. Queen first. But i think the mood or feels of that series is more of romcom and on lighter side which is very different than this. Don’t want to spoil anything but I’m excited for your reactions on the next episodes. Watching your reaction remind me of how I watch this 2016. Less expectations when I saw the cast since most of them were rookie at that time, no knowledge of their history also which makes me more curious on what will happen next. This series surprised me more than what I imagined. This became my top kdrama ever since and up until now, no other kdrama made me feel so much emotions like this one.
