It was broken until season 2 where he gets some of his memories back and glues the broken piece back on it stays there with a crack on it through the rest of the show.

If he grow up the old horn probably would just fit awkwardly so he doesn't glue it anymore or annon just thought it would look better with king having his horn broken

Or it's an error in the drawing. It's not the only one I noticed lus is missing her bracelets from page 2. I can't blame Annon for some errors like this since they most likely are very busy and being overworked because of comictober. I really hope they take a break after October they deserve one.

You are right the broken horn is on the wrong side. But also neither of his horns were broken at the beginning of the comic.
