Kanata finally finds out where his Dad has been all this time. He goes with Ren to meet his aunt to tell him everything! Moroboshi trains with Keisuke on Mt. Akagi to figure out his technique. Beckenbauer is upset he had to try hard against Kanata and Ko. ...and Ko is hanging with his 17 year old gf.

I think looking back at season 1 and 2 you can really see why kanata comes off the way he does as a bit plain because of the death of his mum before the show even started

whats crazy is that senas supra is only the 4 cylinder model but it has all the upgraded suspension of the 6 cylinder i wasnt sure at first but after watching this episode and listening to the exhaust it's definitely the 4 cylinder

Jay I don’t think this counts a spoiler because they basically said it as much as they could without just saying it but Kanata’s aunt is marrying ryosuke so ryosuke is kanata’s uncle and so is keisuke

True, possibly being numb to his mom death made him push aside his personality and more happy up front for the sake of hiding pain. If we had one or two scenes in S1 while alone of his thoughts of how deep that moment impacted him, I feel like I would be more forgiving of the plot because his smile would come off more as him being strong than just plain. But either way Kanata's character is fire to me now

Bro! I was about to connect the dots and just throw that out there, but the only thing I had to go off that was their phone call in the beginning which sounded more like friends than a couple. Aye Ryosuke and Keisuke part of the fam now! And taught by Takumi lol thats crazy

Okay I was KINDA right about Kanata doing something out of character when I said it last episode. I have no reason to believe that next episode won't be even more fire basing off the preview. My friend (who read the manga) literally gave me cryptic-ahh hints on whats gonna happen in the following episodes that's literally killin me tryna figure out what they mean LOL

Seeing the preview, this next race is going to be BEYOND what you think it’s going to be. Also, I think at this point, we can kinda piece together what MF Ghost finally means: My Father’s Ghost. (Mother F* Ghost also seems accurate, since his dad did factually do that 🤣)

This episode did a lot! Keisuke really is a Bunta character now, wishing we could get some of Takumi's current life just to see how he is older. But I'm thinking the writer is trying not to do too much Initial D nostalgia
