Here's the dedicated post for Desktop Pets. From now on, I'll post new versions of the game in here instead of itch.

    • Added experimental support for all VRM facial expressions

      • Neutral when idling

    • Tweaked the Character Creator's camera settings

    • Fixed some internal bugs regarding toggleable clothing items that modify feet rotation (high heels)

      • Characters being head pat in the character creator will ragdoll and fall out of the world

    • VRM characters now use their Angry facial expression when grabbed

      • Headpats are currently the only way to trigger their Joy expression

    • Reworked the game scale setting to let you scale more freely

    • Added an aPhone size setting as well

    • Added a toggle for the procedural ragdoll animations in Experimental Settings

    • Improved the character spawning sequence by ensuring the spawn points are always outside the screen.

      • This should fix the issue making characters initially spawn with a broken pose when directly colliding with a window at the time they spawn

    • Added procedural physics-based animations for Ragdolls

      • I might make this a toggleable experimental setting in the future. For now it's always on.

    • I made ragdolls less stiff when not triggered by the player

    • I made some changes to the Pin tool

      • It now behaves similar to the Grab tool

    • Added a Character Behavior window to the Character Manager

      • Lets you toggle between two (for now) behaviors: Wander and Stay-in-place

        • Wander is the default Behavior

        • Stay-in-place makes characters not move around anymore

          • They will still look at your mouse cursor, unless you stop moving it

    • Added a new Experimental Setting "Window Collision"

      • It creates colliders for most windows, making characters collide with them without using the Window Grabber Tool

      • It takes into account window order and fullscreen/maximized state of windows to make it as intuitive as possible

    • Added "head pat" detecting capabilities

      • Moving the mouse cursor fast over a character's head will trigger a head pat

      • Head pats only make the character use their VRM "Joy" facial expression

      • I might add a bit more flare in the future

    • Known issues:

      • The first time a VRM character spawns, it might come out with a broken arm pose if there is a window colliding with its starting location (which is the bottom middle of the screen)

    • I made a mistake in the previous version, where you weren't able to access the previous Patreon characters. That's been fixed.

    • Fixed a couple issues with the character's pathfinding

      • Characters not properly stopping and looking at the camera

      • Characters stopping before reaching their actual destination when it's too crowded

    • Fixed an issue with the Character Manager app not properly updating character profile pictures

    • This first version has many new features compared to the latest one on itch

    • Better aPhone dialogs

      • The aPhone can now show you a loading dialog and a confirmation dialog

    • New shaders

      • I made new and better shaders for the Character Creator characters and the VRM models with material metadata

        • Regular VRM models can optionally use my shaders, but you have to enable that option in the Settings app.

    • A more visually pleasing grabbing

      • Characters won't "contort" when being grabbed

    • New pathfinding solution

      • Still needs some adjustments but I completely changed how characters move

    • Added a nudity censor in preparation for Steam Early Access

      • You can disable this in Settings > Gameplay

      • The Steam version will require a DLC to unlock. I did this to comply with what seems to be the new requirements for Early Access

        • As a bonus, Germany might be able to have access to the game
