How're y'all doin these days? I hope each and every one of you is good and happy and enjoying life!

I am chuggin' along on Jinx's NNNN - No Nut November Nightmare!

The bulk of the time so far has been getting all the assets together, backgrounds, character poses, a stupidly complicated face rig that I might only use for one scene (ha ha ha ha ha the life of an animator) audio editing, the robo-shark fleshlight. The what? You said something about a robo-shark fleshlight right? I didn't say anything about a robo-shark fleshlight... that's... odd I dunno what you're referring to. Moving on.... from that incredibly odd thing to say... Annnywhooo I'm liking where it's at so far and I'm looking forward to animating more now that most of the assets are complete! My fave part of any project is the animation! :D so LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!

how does rigging work exactly?

Depends what I’m rigging, but essentially it would mean adding animatable bones to a character. First splitting the character up into pieces then adding IK to limbs so you can use controllers to make it move. In this case the face rig entailed a lot because I wanted a bunch of different facial expressions ranging from confident to crazy to happy, so meant a lot of variations of eye styles and mouth styles.

Ah I had typed a whole thing but it got kinda complicated for a post reply with no visuals…I dunno if people are too interested in the process overall but if they are maybe I’ll make a whole post about it one day.
