Just wanted to talk about some stuff

First of all, I think I've kinda stagnated with the stuff I do. So because of that Ive got myself into an animation course since a week ago or something. Been learning some stuff that I didn't understand that well but there is still much work to do, so I don't have anything to show cause it's all boring sfw stuff haha.

Working on that I've noticed some stuff that I might do from now on like I moved to native 60fps a while back but I'm thinking on getting back to 30 again. I just find it easier to animate when the playback plays at the same fps instead of dropping frames inbetween. I could interpolate the animations to 60fps but also learnt that interpolating stuff isn't always a good move, problem with interpolation is that it smooths things that shouldn't be smoothed and the timing of the actions is lost because of that.

Also noticed that my current xc character rig is a bit lacking in certain stuff, been using other rigs and the difference is noticeable, I plan on changing the rig sometime soon but that will be a decent amount of work but will make my posing way easier cause the current one is kinda limited.

I still have things planned for next month like finishing brighid, Ethel VR conversion and  some small release of something I had on the work but stopped when I got into the course.

That will be all for now, sorry I couldn't show any new stuff 😅

Cheers,

HELL FUCKIN YEAH IMPROVING THE ARTS

Dexter DePaula

Thank you for the update, all the better when leveling up your animation and arts.

Vinjok

I hope you can figure out a way to maintain animating in native 60fps while making it as easy to deal with as it is in 30. 3D animations just look better in 60fps.

mumei

Take your time king we all love your work.

Cinnammoner

Appreciate the update and your effort to improve your skills further. I hope this will eventually lead to a more steady cadence of animations. I won't lie, I'm a little thirsty over here. 💦

BlobCG

Don't think I will sadly, animating in 30 feels faster and easier than in 60, in fact I haven't been a fan of most of the animations I worked in native 60 over the interpolated 60 ones (native 60 would be mythra missionary, Ethel and Nia) I can still interpolate to 60 but problem is the ai smooths the spacing of the animation quite a bit, can add both versions tho (30 and 60 interpolated)

Vinjok

If you've been getting by on interpolation to begin with then I think it's fine to include both 30 and interpolated. Interpolation tools are improving. As tools get better you can re-interpolate those 30fps renders and see how things turn out.

Aw really I thought your Ethel one was incredible. Whatever makes animating more comfortable for you is what matters, but for what it's worth I saw no decrease in quality.
