So happy you finally watched this amazing story. As a rent head and also a fan of yours, i do have some things to say... I think with musicals it's important to read a little bit about it before you get into it. Only because it's hard for people to hear the little details since its all singing and no talking or conversation. This story specifically is really really really special one that as musicians and artists, I think you would really love and appreciate and cherish. Jonathan was us. He wanted people to listen and learn. RENT is an adaptation of the opera called "La Boheme". Which means The Bohemian; a person who lives an unconventional and artistic life, and rejects the social norms of their society. Jonathan adapted the story into a loosely based Rock Opera about his life as a straight white male struggling artist in Manhattan, during the peak of the AIDS epidemic. He wrote this show for his friends and unfortunately had a heart attack and passed away weeks before the show opened off broadway. The cast of the movie stars most of the original cast, besides Mimi. I think you should watch this documentary about the movie and then watch it again because you will see it through a different perspective. I could talk about Jonathan and this show FOREVER. there’s a deleted scene from the movie called “Goodbye Love” it’s the most heartbreaking, eyeopening important scene and i’m so sad they decided to cut it out because it was “too” sad. pls watch the scene it’s like 5 minutes. but if provides so much more depth to mark, and more emotion to mimi.

Okay look, I got sick of waiting for you to post it on YouTube and got Patreon JUST to watch you react to this. Normally I love your reactions, but for the love of god you talked SO MUCH over most of this movie that you kept missing so many key points!! Then later you’d ask about it because you were confused, PLEASE JUST LISTEN AND WATCH and then you won’t miss out on things. This is one of those movies you need to watch every single second to understand it. This by far my fave musical Most of this cast expect Joan (Traci Thoms) and Mimi (rosario dawson) were on broadway together. So they were on broadway for 7 years together got married in 03- divorced in 2014. They have a kid together born in 09. It from today for you tomorrow for me the dog that jumped out the window is the death he’s talking about. Take me or leave is my favorite and I love reprised I’ll cover you at angels funeral. I always have my tissue movie makes me cry every time that and “The cure”.
