First time I saw it I was shocked . Jo a good character. I don't blame Bonnie. But the reason Kai did this was because he was getting revenge on her for leaving him in the prison world . When Kai merged with the twin he became nicer . An was helping out group . Bonnie got her revenge . Kai got his get back this episode.

First of all, RIP to the actress who played Lily. I forgot she passed, she did a Great “villain” (locked up criminal) in “The Rookie” and she has a great voice & acting 🎭 even singing in one episode of The rookie her voice was beautiful Second, Damon takes care of everyone. As kids he Protected the Heck out of his brother & even now, when he made a promise to “give him an eternity of Misery” he still protects his little brother He Didn’t initially wanna be a Vampire but thrived in it because he knew he couldn’t go back to being human He takes the role as “Bad Guy” to Protect his brother, he lets his brother be the “Hero” while being the one to have to make the Hard decisions to save people. Steph claimed to feel remorse but never did anything to stop being a ripper, not moving to a cabin far into the woods away from humanity, not do anything to actually prevent more blood on His hands Damon didn’t pretend to care about everyone, he actually pretended to dislike or hate others, when deep down he felt lonely, self hate for who/what he is Steph did the opposite in my opinion, saying he cared about the people he ate.. but never did anything to stop his actions. Damon is the best character, who can have viewers relate way more
