I always miss your lives because of work, but here's a Monsta X recommendation for next time! My favourite song from them, Lost in the Dream. I don't know if anyone told you during the live...but during Alesso/SKZ Going Dumb when it cuts to that person we don't know...that's Hyunjin's part. :) He wasn't there for filming, but the song was already completed before his hiatus. Thankfully, there is no OFFICIAL SKZ song that's without Hyunjin. They only did unit content/SKZ Player duets/solos for the 4 months he was gone, because it wouldn't be SKZ then. Even Wolfgang (Kingdom Finale, created during the filming and his hiatus) had a part that was CLEARLY Hyunjin's, and it's the only part that Han lip-synced for to fill HJ spot during the filming.

aahh yeah fever pt.2 was when mingi was on break to take care of his mental health he went on hiatus a while before then actually in nov 2020 and i really admire him for doing that it takes so much strength and it's not easy. as a neurodivergent person as well it's just so!!! inspiring!!!! i'm still so grateful n happy he still participated in the album songs for that era i'm proud of him! i was there when mingi finally came back just in time for ateez's 1000th day and god the emotions T__T the whole twt timeline was insane so many tears were shed :( ateez just isnt the same without all 8 members and i'm so appreciative that they incorporated parts for mingi in their kingdom songs in their repackaged fever:epilogue album 🥺💕

2nd gen kpop was definitely wild (I've been into kpop since 2009) but while many things changed for the better, some changed for worse 🤧 u-kiss were one of the less popular groups in Korea at that time and many unpopular groups tried to use the "shock factor" to grab the attention of the public which of course didn't work out for the most of them but companies made them do stuff like that anyway 😬 I'm just glad we moved on from that, the groups always got ton of hate for the stupid decisions of their company. Also, since you mentioned you like bands, I'd like to recommend two groups that deserve more love 🤧 first is Lucy - Flowering MV and the other one is NELL (you might be familiar with the name, they collaborated with Namjoon on his mono. mixtape) I recommend watching Words you shouldn't believe (live ver.) MV. I had a chance to witness that song live when I was in Korea and it was pure magic 💖 and thank you for your reactions! 💕

I'm only watching this now lol, but I wanted to address this... I was a SHINee stan back in the day but had grown out of them (and kpop, for a year or so) by about 2013 due to life circumstances. Even so, I still tear up when I watch anything with Jonghyun in it... If I want to have a cry I'll put on his live of Y si fuera Ella (absolutely legendary). He was a deeply caring person and he affected many people, both inside and outside the industry 😔 I don't think it's healthy to deliberately avoid him after this long though haha.

I can understand why ppl avoid watching old content though, must be heartbreaking! Especially the way he passed. But he deserved to be given the respect you know?? I couldn't imagine being a fan at the time, would have broke my heart!
