Becks Sketches and Character Concept (Patreon)

I have been planning Becks for a long, long time! I knew I wanted to bring the listener out into the Queen's Forest, the forest around Ashwood Grove, since the conception of my channel. And, what better way to do that than to have a cute, nervous-scientist-with-a-heart-of-gold take you along for an adventure? 

I had a very clear image of who Becks was in my mind, so she didn't have many iterations of her design. One thing I didn't know, however, was what her name was going to be. Up until the day before recording her audio, I had been calling Becks by a completely different name. It wasn't until I had a conversation with Chaotic Dreams on Discord that the name was brought up and everything clicked into place. Her line about her names came to me quickly after, and now I can't imagine her story without her little tirade about her name and nicknames. 

For her design, I knew a few things right off the bat. I knew she was going to have a braid, big, circular glasses, and an open face. I was channeling a big of Steve Irwin meets Milo Thatch for her, and I really couldn't be more pleased with the final product. She's cute, but in a simple, very natural sense. And her sweater is so, so cute. <3
