I was listening before Stranger Things. I've never seen one frame of that show. The first two tracks are... Wow. I think she's making little doggy noises in Hounds of Love, the "Eugh eugh eugh" after the "do-do-do" sounds like she's barking. Waking the Witch when it kicks in is rad as hell too. 5/5 pieces of vinyl. Love this album.

One of my favorite records since i was a kid.

I won’t sit here and pretend I’ve been listening to Kate Bush a long time (it’s only been since 2021) but she’s one of THOSE artists that everyone seems to love and respect. (Big Boi’s admiration for her is so charming.) The Big Sky and Waking the Witch are my faves. When I heard Running Up That Hill as a kid I hated it but it’s grown on me over the years. Good Times is the song that launched a million MCs. It may be a long groove but I don’t mind - it’s meant to be danced to. Next week is whiplash, going to go crazy!

This is one of those albums where Shawn's contextualization of it instantly lifts my own perception. Cool album. Keep on readin' loud and proud, Shawn.

Also, in preparation for next week, anyone interested should look up the Freak-a-Leek and Yeah! backstory, it’s kind of crazy!!!

I love Kate Bush and this album, timeless

I listened to this a couple years back but ended up appreciating it a lot more with this relisten. I really connected with the synths a lot more this time but I still am not that big of a fan of her singing. I also wish all the concept songs were its own album because that was the worst part of the record for me. 3/5

has anyone tried making running up that hill on a snes soundfont?
