So Jennifer (teacher/darach) is doing sacrifices to get powerful enough to go against the alpha pack as a whole. They will explain in the upcoming episodes why, but the gist of what was already said to us so far is that she was a druid/emissary for one of the alphas and got killed like the rest of their pact. Each trio of sacrifices grants her a power. Virgins = seducing and duping (might also be to appear innocent) Warriors = enhanced strength Healers = healing abilities Philosophers = intelligence and strategy Guardians = protection Also, Morell is the druid/emissary to Deucalion and has always been even before he went ballistic. Deaton was the emissary of Derek's mom Talia (he also was in love with her, I wish we could've seen that) and is now Scott's (even though it's never something said).
