Not asking you to be an Avatar fan but as fans of sci-fi and immersive experiences please go watch the re release in IMAX 3D in September. Avatar isn't filmed like any other movie. James Cameron actually uses native 3D cameras. it's like multiple cameras from different depths using a beams splitter mimicking the human eye, that way we see the depths and layers of characters and objects. The rest of Hollywood shoot in 2D and convert it into 3D which is not really 3D cause they throw stuff at you. Real 3D is subtle and layers it's like VR. Avatar 1 took 10 years to make. Avatar 2 has taken 13 years to make, this is old school passionate filmmaking. Perfect example in Aquaman they do dry to wet shooting for underwater scenes (not really underwater), Avatar 2 has been said the actors are literally acting, smiling, talking underwater. Cameron stated he want's to blow this new generation away in Avatar 2 the way he did in 2009. Please watch Avatar documentary it's so interesting. I was too young to watch Avatar at the theaters but I'm not missing the re-release nor the sequel in December. The true definition of an Event Film.
