Even though it's not that unusual to have Nen abilities that don't fall into your innate Nen type, your main ability usually does - that's probably why you got a bit confused. I'm pretty sure Palm is one of the few examples where the main ability doesn't fit the user's natural inclination. As far as I know, it's not confirmed which Nen type her ability falls under, but if I had to guess, it definitely wouldn't be Enhancer.

I just tell myself Palm is just impressed and admires Gon 😅 But I love Knuckle so much lol him and Palm are essentially Japanese memes. (The elvis comment was so accurate though 😂) so Knuckle is based on the gang culture of 70s-80s Japan, they'd all have pompadours, wear old school uniforms, and talk in the Osakan gangster dialect with the trill R "omaerrrrrrrrra!" And ya everything he says in Japanese is stereotypical of classic gangster stuff the same way we stereotype mafia like "ey, look see, I got a gun, see, and ima shoot ya, see" lol so it's that vibe. Palm is the stereotype of "girl who looks like the ghost from the Ring" (which I recommend an anime based around this trope called "Kimi no Todoke" it's so sweet and wholesome) so the ghostly appearance, scraggly hair, and her uncontrollable yandere tendencies are that gimmick, but the joke is they are both total sweethearts despite being plays on the most common tropes in classic Japan (the mangaka of HxH is old, so he was young during the period of Japan that these stereotypes were all over the place)

To remind you again, there is a better and safer way to develop nen. Wing only punched them because they threatened to fight in the Sky arena no matter what, since they only had hours left. If they would have fought without Wing awakenin them that way, their opponent would have, and unlike Wing they wouldnt have pulled their Punch, thats how the other guys in the Arena have been awakened, all losing limbs during the process.

Palm, Knuckle, Shoot (Shuuto), and Gyro are named after baseball pitches. Figured id mention it cause i thought it was a fun fact.
