😂 the names wouldn't be so similar if read how they're meant to be, but it's ok, these names are hard. Plus, it cracks me up when Wesley has a new pronunciation every time he says a name lol I think Wesley may be right at the end that Lakan thought Ah-Duo was Jinshi 😭 so the infos totally gonna get lost~ and I think.. um.. bug-girl was acting as informant and that's why she said "sorry maomao" but I don't think she's as deep in as the other 2, or she grew to love Maomao and Xiaolan so she might've tried to back out but Suirei might have taken her hostage for it. 🤔 Also, only if it helps, otherwise please don't worry about it too much, I think people bug too much on name pronunciations that are hard sometimes, but a little quick guide for how the Japanese is prouncing the S names are; Suirei = Swee-ray (with a tongue tap 'r' to your frontal hard palate as if going to do a rolling/trill Rrrr but stop on the first one so it sounds like a D. Hopefully this is helpful, this is practice for my linguistics lessons as well lol) Shishou = Shee-show Annnnd I forgot bug girls name.. 😅 Just remember Japanese pronounce their vowels consistently and like Spanish and you can fake most names. (eg. Maomao = Mah-o-mah-o so the A is the rounded Ah sound like Father, and the O is long as in Hope and the same applies to the others. Jinshi the I's are ee sounds Suirei, the EI is an Ay sound because E is Eh as Enter, and I after it makes it more like Eh-ee or Ay like May. Meimei would be May May. And U = oo btw like Moon) Hope that helps for the Japanese, which is what I use because that's how they are said in the show, but if anyone speaks Chinese, I'd love to hear about the differences if there are any 🥰

i say sue-ray for suirei because that helps me remember it, and shisui is just she-suey (similar to susie without the second s) gotta throw some susan's in there to help with the 'su' part lol (i hope that made sense)

name list for ur convenience!: shishou (she-show) - loulan's dad suirei (swe-ray) - handsome eunuch girl shisui (she-swe)- insect loving girl! also fun fact! :) in chinese, their names (using the same kanji characs) are pronounced differently. shishou's name is 子昌 zi chāng, suirei's name is 翠苓 cuì líng, and shisui's is 子翠 zi cuì

And to add: Suiren - Jinshi’s lady-in-waiting who kinda raised him and Shenlu is the head clinic lady ~ (so many characters with somewhat similar sounding names 🥹)
